Here are some of our top tips for kindness:

•  Volunteer - at home, at work, with a neighbour or a family member.

•  Pay it forward - buy someone a cup of coffee!

•  In traffic, allow a car out in front of you in traffic.

•  Get a sandwich and coffee for a homeless person.

•  Offer to help out a neighbour -  mind their kids, water their plants, take in a parcel.

•  Ask a colleague how they are really doing and spend time listening.

•  Hold a door open for someone.

•  Donate to charity.

•  Do something kind and sustainable for the planet.

•  Permission permitting, give someone a hug. A 20 second hug or more has shown to increase the love hormone, oxytocin and reduce blood pressure and stress levels.

•  Smile - simply smiling at someone can help in a way you might not even be aware of. Everyone is on a journey, and no one knows what the other is going through. Go easy. Have patience, offer a kind word and smile.

•  Acknowledge the unsung kindness hero in your world. Who continually shows you kindness, who supports you, who has your back, who goes the extra mile for you? Show them you are grateful today. Acknowledge their kindness and give it back to them.

•  Connect with someone who you have not reached out to in a long time. Drop them a text or give them a call. Chat, let them know you are thinking of them and wish the well.
