Seasonal Food and Nutrition
Enrich’s chosen theme for June is Appreciate. One way that we can bring this sense of appreciation into our everyday lives is to choose to eat in a more seasonal way. Selecting foods, particularly fruits and vegetables, that naturally grow at the time of year that you are in means you are maximising freshness and taste, and it also is one of the best ways to support the environment and be more sustainable.

Moving away from diets
Cultivating a positive and healthy relationship with food is one of the most important things that you can do for your wellbeing. A healthy relationship with food means that we can embrace flexibility, enjoyment, and respond with respect to our body’s needs.

Things to consider in plant based eating
It’s simple - the more plants in your diet, the better! The benefits to your health of eating more plant-based foods, such as fruits, vegetables, wholegrains, legumes and pulses, are well documented. From heart health to gut health to cholesterol, there is no doubt that eating more plants is good for us. It has also been identified as a more sustainable dietary pattern, as it associated with significantly lower C02 emissions than meat or dairy.

Support your wellness at work
Your energy is one of the most precious resources you have, but during the workday, there are many demands on your time, attention and energy. We all want to be our best and most productive selves, so we can take satisfaction in our day’s work and really enjoy our downtime. However, sometimes we can find ourselves making food choices which can negatively impact this energy flow.

Food for Menopause
Menopause is the time of change in a woman’s life marking the end of fertility, usually occurring between the ages of 45-55 years. Changes in your diet and lifestyle can help you manage the symptoms of the menopause.
